WHEN LIFE ATTEMPTS TO THROW US INTO TURMOIL
GOD'S WORD WILL TURN IT AROUND FOR HIS GLORY
Testifying becomes an act of compassion, love and encouragement, so that those who feel there is little hope, may find encouragement and healing. It only takes one testimony to turn someone away from despair, loneliness, etc who may also have lost hope.
Mark 5:19 AMP
Yehoshua [Jesus] did not let him [come], but [instead] He said to him, “Go home to your family and tell them all the great things that the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you.”
Yehoshua [Jesus] knew that this man needed to go home to bring hope to his family.

1. "32 Principles to Overcome Spiritual Challenges" book, is a timely and powerful resource for every believer, whether you have just received salvation or a seasoned Christian.
I have known the author, Julie Choi, for many years. During that time, I have witnessed her faithfully minister, teach, and pour into the lives of others. The wisdom she shares in this book is from her own intimate journey with God. Through her perseverance in trials and tribulations, and the revelations she has received in fellowship with God. This authenticity makes her guidance both accessible and gives you a deep impactful outcome.
Having been a Christian for more than 20 years, I have experienced many churches, teachings, seasons of growth and seasons of struggle. I met Julie during a time in my life when I was searching for something more. I needed clarity. I needed transformation. I longed for a deeper understanding of who God truly is, and I wanted to grasp what it genuinely means to walk by faith. This book speaks directly to that need. It places strong emphasis on the importance of transformation and renewal, a principle that stands as a cornerstone in overcoming spiritual barriers. Julie presents this principle not as an abstract idea, but as a practical, God given key that can unlock real change in one’s life.
I have personally applied the principle of transformation and renewal from this book to my own mind and thoughts. Through it, I learned how to confront and remove challenging thoughts that once held me back. This process strengthened me, not by my own ability, but by allowing God to renew my mind and reshape my inner life. Perhaps the greatest wisdom I gained from this principle is the understanding that the renewal of the mind removes the very hindrances that keep us from truly knowing and connecting with God. When these barriers are lifted, our fellowship with Him deepens. In that deeper fellowship, we begin to receive revelation, insight and understanding that bring meaningful transformation and empower us to walk in His purpose and glory.

2. Overcoming the Underlying Challenges with Family and Relationships
I was sitting in an ambulance, attending yet another call, during one of the most difficult seasons of my family and personal life. It was there that my Christian mentor, Julie Choi, first began to speak words of encouragement into my life. At the time, everything felt overwhelming, family court battles, broken promises, and a deep sense of injustice left me struggling to see what the world still had to offer. Hope felt distant, and the weight of disappointment pressed heavily on my heart, even thinking of resorting to end life as I knew it.
What I could not yet see was the work of the Master Carpenter - the One who builds lives as carefully as houses. The Creator who takes driftwood, shaped and scarred by the sea, and patiently forms it into something purposeful and strong. Some wood is hardened by years of saltwater, resistant to shaping, reluctant to trust the process of change. It creaks, resists, and fights against what it was always meant to become: something useful in the hands of God, a staff that serves His will rather than its own survival.
The enemy works through deception, planting lies and distorting pain, often stirring emotions until they feel unbearable. It feeds on confusion, fear, and wounded identity, attempting to convince the soul that pain must be escaped rather than redeemed. Yet emotions, powerful as they are, does not have anything to do with God's truth, until we know our true identity that is in God.
Truth is the only weapon that leaves no foothold for darkness. The Word reveals itself through faith, love, and works lived out daily. My mentor - fondly known as the “chink in my armour”- spoke that truth with consistency and grace. Through her faith, her love, and her actions, the enemy was kept at bay. In time, through deliverance and the Word of God, I was able to step fully out of that season and into lasting freedom.

3. I was diagnosed having stage 4 Cancer
In September 2019, I was admitted to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, North West London. I was suffering from pain, fever, and bloated with fluid in my thighs, and legs. I was later diagnosed having stage 4 Cancer and that the disease was moving freely throughout my body via my veins and arteries. I stayed in hospital for five days, then I was discharged and told that my treatment will continue at the outpatient department. It was bad enough to have contracted Cancer, but I did not understand why I was treated like a second-class citizen.
I was given 24 packets of medication, I could renew on a regular basis, which were not meant to cure me but to take care of the various toxins from the negative side effects of the drugs. I left with a set of notes. I will dispense with the medical terminology and the long and short of the contents is that I had a PSA [Prostate Specific Antigen] of 3,341 with stage 4 Cancer, in other words I then had one foot in the grave. I was asked whether I will like to die in the hospital or at home, my answer was that I preferred home.
I was introduced to Julie Choi by Charles Anderson who suggested that Julie to conduct some prayers for my recovery. Shortly after Julie started the prayers, I gradually and progressively started to feel better.
The pain in the muscles, joints and bones went away and I stopped taking pain killers. I went for a series of tests to find out how much I had recovered. The tests showed a dramatic drop in PSA from 3,341 to 206.
My consultant said there was a mistake somewhere and a follow up test showed a further drop, my consultant then removed the three-monthly hormone injection from my prescription, which was changing me from male to female. The breasts that grew have receded and my waist and buttocks narrowed in size.
I can now do longer walks and slight jogging.
I will recommend Julie Choi [her book] to anybody, experiencing health challenges, especially Cancer, for which there is currently no effective medical cure. More over the tablets to Cancer patients are toxic and each brand produces side effects. The whole medical exercise is like introducing toxins into a toxic environment, each or both will eventually result in death of the patient.
NOTE: I have written this document on my free will and volition and I am in sane and sound state of mind when writing it.

4. Loss of confidence - The heavy burden
There was a season in my life when I lost not only my job, but also my confidence and sense of direction. Each day felt heavier than the last, and I tried in many ways to overcome the challenges before me, yet nothing seemed to bring lasting change. I felt weary, uncertain, and quietly overwhelmed.
During that difficult time, Julie Choi recognised that I was struggling. With compassion and discernment, she shared with me that prayer and fasting could bring clarity, healing, and breakthrough. It was not presented as a quick solution, but as an invitation to draw closer to God and place my burdens fully into His hands.
As time passed, and through the covering of prayer and the support of her team, deeper issues were lovingly uncovered. It became clear that there were underlying spiritual challenges that had not only hindered my own life, but had quietly affected my entire family. What I once believed were isolated struggles were, in truth, connected burdens that required God’s intervention.
Through prayer, these hindrances were addressed and, by God’s grace, were spiritually removed. What followed was not only a sense of relief, but a renewed hope, peace, and freedom that I had not known for years. God reminded me that He is near to the brokenhearted and faithful to restore what has been lost.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke?” — Isaiah 58:6
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
This journey taught me that healing often begins when we surrender, and that God’s power reaches beyond the individual—into families, generations, and hearts longing for restoration.

5. Overcoming death - So we got to enjoy our father longer
In 2016, my father, who was 88 years old at the time, fell seriously ill, he became skeletal and was on the verge of death. Medical doctors assessed that he had only weeks to live. During this incredibly difficult season, God placed a sister in the Lord, Julie, beside our family.
She faithfully organised a prayer rota for my father, and every night she would call me so that we could pray together. Her consistency, compassion, and commitment to prayer became a source of strength and hope during those dark days.
Through steadfast and persevering prayer, he began to have the strength to eat and within a few months my father miraculously stabilised. He regained enough strength to move into his new home, where he lived peacefully until his departure to glory in September 2018.
I truly believe that Julie’s persistent and unwavering prayers were instrumental in prolonging my father’s life. Her prayerful support was a lifeline during one of the hardest seasons our family has ever faced.
All glory be to God for His faithfulness, mercy, and grace. I thank God for the grace upon Julie’s life—His grace that empowers her to press through in prayer against all odds. Hallelujah.
