WHAT IS A SALVATION PRAYER?
The reason for God giving us salvation is restoration - to bring people back into a living, loving fellowship [relationship] with God, both now and for eternity.
In the original Old Testament, it was written in Hebrew and in the New Testament it was written in Greek.
The main Hebrew word for salvation is Yehoshua [יְשׁוּעָה], meaning deliverance, rescue, or help, from the root yasha, while the primary Greek word is Soteria [σωτηρία#, meaning deliverance, preservation, safety, or welfare. Both terms encompass broad meanings of being saved, rescued, healed, or preserved from danger, not just spiritual salvation, and are linked to the name Jesus [Yehoshua].
Salvation is not only about “going to heaven one day.” It is about being made whole, set free, and reborn into the life God intended from the beginning.
Most of mankind have a void, and this void is missing due to sin. This means no person, physical thing, temporary pleasure and even wealth can fill this void.
THE DEEPER MEANING OF SALVATION PRAYER
What this moment truly means. This prayer is not a performance formula or a set of perfect words - it is a sincere response of the heart to God’s invitation. This Salvation Prayer is for our eternal re-connection with the creator for all of mankind. Salvation begins not with our effort, but with "God’s Love" reaching toward us.
The Bible reminds us that God took the first step:
“We love because He first loved us.” [1 John 4:19]
Coming to Yehoshua - Christ requires honesty, humility, and willingness. It is an acknowledgment that we cannot save ourselves and that we need God’s grace. Yehoshua - Jesus Himself said:
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” [Matthew 11:28]
Wisdom also means understanding that salvation is about relationship, not religion. Saying this prayer marks the beginning of a journey - learning to trust God daily, turning away from what separates us from Him, and allowing His Spirit to guide our lives.
“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” [2 Corinthians 5:17]
Finally, know this: God looks at your heart, not your past sins, your knowledge, or your ability to pray perfectly.
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” [Romans 10:9]
If you are ready - ensure it is heartfelt - humbly, sincerely, and willingly - to place your trust in Yehoshua - Jesus Christ, you may now say the Salvation Prayer.

PRAYER OF SALVATION
“I come to you in the name of Yehoshua [Jesus Christ]. Your word says, “…that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.
I acknowledge that I have sinned and fallen short, and I need Your grace, mercy and favour.
I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins, and that You rose again so I can become a new creation and have a new life.
I confess that I have sinned, forgive me for I know not what I do, and help me to transform and renew daily, and make me new by Your Holy Spirit. From today, I turn away from my old ways and I place my trust in You alone.
Yehoshua – Jesus, I receive You as my Lord and my Saviour. Lead me, teach me, and help me to walk in Your truth. From this day forward, my life belongs to You.
Thank You that You have written me into the Book of Life.
Thank You for saving me, Thank you for Your Love, in Yehoshua – Jesus name Amen.
